Automated educational system “Boiler operator”

Automated educational system (AES) is designated to train the boiler operators and maintenance personnel.

Using interactive screen displays, a trainee studies the design of the boiler, the operation of its equipment and occurring processes.

The AES includes the display forms to study the following processes and units:

  • Water treatment and chemical water treatment.
  • Gas distribution point with demonstration of various operation modes.
  • Steam boiler, water heating boiler, etc.

Using the AES, a trainee studies and controls the visual simulating model of steam and water heating boilers. The mobile water-heating unit (“PKVU-2.5”) stands for the example of a water-heating boiler and the automatized “DE-10” equipped with the “AMAKS” gas block stands for the steam boiler. Each boiler simulator offers several standard operating scenarios and emergencies with step-to-step demonstration, which explains to the trainee the essence of the ongoing processes.

To study the steam boiler model, a trainee is offered to use the following options:

  • step-by-step demonstration of boiler start-up,
  • step-by-step demonstration of periodic boiler blowdown,
  • step-by-step demonstration of water boiling process (emergency),
  • step-by-step demonstration of boiler short-water (emergency),
  • independent boiler operation in random mode.

To study the water-heating boiler model, a trainee is offered to use the following options:

  • step-by-step demonstration of boiler start-up,
  • step-by-step demonstration of boiler shutdown,
  • step-by-step demonstration of boiler blowdown,
  • independent boiler operation in random mode.
